Banco CTT - Increase in amount after they confirm it wont increase, poor service

The Euribor increased continuously from the time we started looking at new apartments and during the application process as well. This is okay, there is nothing the bank could do about this.

We received the final approval from the bank on 18 October. The document states the the amount on the approval is valid until 17 November, thereafter it may be changed according to Market conditions.

We asked our agent and finance lady to confirm that it will not increase if we sign after the 31st of October. They both assured us that the amount on the final approval is valid until 17 November as stated.

We signed the Escritura on the 3rd of November. To everyone's surprise, including the agent and finance lady, the rate increased. The finance lady said she will contact the bank about this.

CTT responded and said it increased because of the latest Euribor increase. This is not correct, because the final approval is set until 17 November, and then only can it be increased according to the new Euribor rate. Even our insurances increased without any explanation.

I sent an email to the lady at CTT and to the complaints email on 9 November. I have not received any response at all. We have not even received a new FINE document which shows the new rate? We only know about this because it was on the escritura.

Nobody has tried to contact me yet. I still haven't received any response to my initial complaint sent to Marta Merca and the general complaints email.

I later informed them that I have now added the complaint online and will escalate it to CACCL.
They simply responded saying 'I must wait for a resolution to the complaints before I escalate it', how rude. No response is a response. It has been 20 days since my initial complaint and 14 days since posting it here and to the complaints book. They have already had a reasonable amount of time to at least start looking at the complaint.

I'll be escalating this to CACCL next week, and I'll escalate it elsewhere if needed.

CTT lied in their response and said they dud inform us of the increase on the 3rd November. The agent and finance lady specifically said it would not increase according to Eurobor rates as the final approval amount was fixed until 17 November. I have a voice note from the agent confirming this. Disgusted by the blatant lie in the response from CTT.
