The Euribor increased continuously from the time we started looking at new apartments and during the application process as well. This is okay, there is nothing the bank could do about this.
We received the final approval from the bank on 18 October. The document states the the amount on the approval is valid until 17 November, thereafter it may be changed according to Market conditions.
We asked our agent and finance lady to confirm that it will not increase if we sign after the 31st of October. They both assured us that the amount on the final approval is valid until 17 November as stated.
We signed the Escritura on the 3rd of November. To everyone's surprise, including the agent and finance lady, the rate increased. The finance lady said she will contact the bank about this.
CTT responded and said it increased because of the latest Euribor increase. This is not correct, because the final approval is set until 17 November, and then only can it be increased according to the new Euribor rate. Even our insurances increased without any explanation.
I sent an email to the lady at CTT and to the complaints email on 9 November. I have not received any response at all. We have not even received a new FINE document which shows the new rate? We only know about this because it was on the escritura.
