Easyjet - Get a refund I paid extra to come next day!!

Good afternoon,

I would like to file a complaint related to the attending in the check-in, Easyjet flight Rome – Lisbon in April 1st 2012, at 8.55 am, on the reservation with the Code EJG6BJM, because I lost the flight due to the bad organization and attending in the check-in.
We arrived at the Rome airport at 7.25 am and we went straight to the check-in place, the 179, was the one, so we went there to the line.
Time was ticking and the line was barely moving, and we started to realize that the line wasn’t only for one flight. Since the time was getting short, my friends stayed with the luggage and I went to ask what I was supposed to do, the lady in 179 answered: “You’re late, wait here!” I told the lady I was going to get the suitcases, because without them I couldn’t do the check in.
When I was back, 2 minutes later, I couldn’t do the check-in. They said I couldn’t go on the flight, only in the next day, they were very rude and inflexible, because I heard later that some passengers entered the flight without doing the check-in and putting their suitcases in the plane hold at the entrance of the plane or they would miss the flight. They even didn’t propose this alternative to me.
Two of my friends embarked, because they didn’t have suitcases to put in the plane hold, staying behind me and other friend, due to some of her things being at my suitcase.
The next day, we did the check-in and the hand suitcases passed without any problem, but at the entrance to the searching the lady was being rude and complaining with the other suitcase and said if was her decision the suitcase wouldn’t go through. Furthermore, many reclaimed about the confusion with the suitcases on that flight.

That said, I would like to know if it is possible, somehow, get a refund I paid extra to come next day, because it wasn’t our fault and all of this was an inconvenience to me.
