I took my car for a 100 000km service. More than €600 later (which would probably have cost me 1/2 of that elsewhere), I collected the car. I noticed the drivers rubber car mat was a little wet but didn't really think anything of it because the car had been washed by VW. This was on a Thursday evening.
On the Friday, I went to wash the car (including the mats that were still wet for some reason). I went to work. Friday evening I noticed that the mats were wet again... I touched the wet spot and felt the liquid was slightly slippery? I called VW and left a message (because they were busy) but no one called me back. The Monday I called again, still busy, promised to call me back.Did not receive a call back. Even emailed and did not get any response.
Tuesday morning still no email response or call back, I decided to go to VW Japblu Faro and go see them myself. I eventually spoke to the service agent and workshop manager and my car was looked at. Was told that the Transmission pump had packed up and they did not have parts and would have to order. I had to leave the car there. Told it was going to cost me another €211, which I don't mind but.... Why did they not see this when they supposedly serviced the car and did a thorough checklist?
Added to this I was told this morning after having to call them and still no email response, that the parts have arrived but they would only start working on the car this afternoon or Friday and that the car MIGHT be ready by the weekend or only next week. I told the service agent that I really needed the car because I used it for my work and if I did not work then I had a loss of income. She didn't seem to care and I felt that she didn't think it was her problem.
I spoke via chat to Japblu head office more that 2 hours ago to escalate the problem and was told I would be called back. I would have thought that I would be helped asap as the car was in for a service and after a thorough checklist that they do and actually having refilled the Transmission fluid, they should have picked up the pump problem.
I am highly disappointed because not only is Japblu costing me almost €900 but I'm also having a loss of income of over €1500 because I can't use my car. If had known, I would've taken my car somewhere else to get fixed... In the future, I don't think I'll be using VW again for car services...
