IKEA - Not delivering instock goods or giving updated delivery details

I ordered a couch from Ikea on 4/6. The couch was shown on their site to be in-stock. They couldn't deliver it until 4/17, fine. They didn't deliver it on 4/17 and gave no update on when they would. I finally called and they said it would be delivered 4/22 between 9am-1pm. I called 4/22 at 9AM to confirm it would be delivered 9-1pm that day and they confirmed it would be delivered. IT WAS NOT DELIVERED and I wasted my day waiting around for nothing. They have missed delivery appointments FOUR times now for this order and 2 others within the past 8 days. On another order, they gave me a delivery window of 9AM-6PM, I stayed home the entire day and they never showed up! They tried to deliver the next day (never rescheduling delivery or notifying me they were coming or near) and I wasn't home. THIS IS A RIDICULOUS WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS! Update your customers!

First of all, we are sorry to hear that your experience did not reflect our standards, nor the service we aspire to provide. We appreciate your exposure which allows us to refine our methods and procedures, in order to ensure the total satisfaction of our customers.

Additionally, we inform you that we tried to reschedule for the first available date, however, by your decision the order was canceled.

That's a very misleading response... You tried to reschedule delivery for FIVE WEEKS after i placed the order.. of an item that was shown to be in-stock on your website.. but that you never sent to the manufacturer to actually create. So after making me stay home FOUR TIMES and wait for your delivery which you ENSURED would be delivered each time, you finally told me that you never sent the order and it would take another two weeks to be delivered. I couldn't wait that long, so yes i canceled the order. This complaint is TECHNICALLY resolved, but the service was pathetic. I had to cancel this order and order another couch that was actually in stock and could be delivered this week, and to rectify the situation that WAS ENTIRELY YOUR FAULT, you waived the $30 delivery fee of the replacement couch. Unbelievable.. for wasting 3.5 weeks of my life, causing me to change an int'l flight just so i could be there for delivery and then you never showing up TWICE.. Waiving $30 delivery fee is unbelievable. So no, I won't honor you with my preference and will not buy from Ikea AGAIN.
