I would like to express my total unhappiness at the way that I was treated at the Stay hotel Lisbon Airport.
Friday September 11 we arrived at the hotel at 4.00am to book a room for a resting of 4 hours. My nephew was taking his flight to Canada at 8.00am and the hotel was near the airport and I was going to drive back home to Alentejo. The staff member at that time 4.00am mentioned that there was only one room available and the price would be €120 euros. Because we only were going to rest a couple hours, she invented us to have a coffee complimentary in the morning. We only stay in the room for 3 hours. We went to the breakfast area and I had a croissant and two coffees. As we were ready to go out a male staff member stopped us and asked for our room number and said that we were not to have complimentary coffee. I politely explained that the evening staff member from the desk invited us to have a complimentary coffee in the morning because we only use the room for 3 hours. He replied that he would not accept that reason and we had to go to the front desk to pay for two breakfasts. At the desk the female staff member said there is nothing that she could do and I must pay. I said that she could confirm with her evening staff member but she ignored and made us pay. Because was getting late to drop my nephew at the airport I paid the bill.
We were embarrassed and very frustrated with the situation. However, the worse came later after dropping my nephew off at the airport and on the way to my house in Alentejo when I realized that the evening staff Frontdesk member kept my ID bilhete de identidade!. And never told the other staff members to hand it out to me in the morning, which it was actually the same person that made me pay for the coffee. I had to drive back to Lisbon and back to Alentejo. I drove over 400 kilometers . I went to the front desk and picked up my ID that was in the drawe at the desk.
I expect an apologie and compensation.
