On May 30th I book and prepay a return Lisbon/Porto for Saturday June 6th and receive all confirmation by email.
20h before I check-in my departure but fail to check my return and after all day trying in vain, 12h before takeoff I spend hours trying to find ways to contact client services and finally reach them by skype, where they inform me that my return flight at 1300 was cancelled. As they could only offer a 2030 return flight, I opted to cancel and immediately got an email confirmation with a 2 week devolution payment.
Cancelations happen, but TAP must inform clients immediately with various alternatives.
I asked for the livro de reclamação but they literally rejected my request (this should be illegal!) and insisted I use their online format, which did not work.
I had to book the night train and a hotel in a sold out Porto at a total of €355 to make my morning meeting.
